Dr.P.Kasinatha Pandian, acquired, B.E.(Civil Engg), M.S. (By Research) in Water resources Engg. and Ph. D (Coastal Engg.) from Anna University. He has served in various positions at Anna University’s Centre for Water Resources, Institute for Ocean Management and Institute of Remote Sensing from 1986 to 2008.
He moved to Heriot-Watt University, Scotland, U.K. and completed his Post Doctoral Research during 2008 – 2009. After which he has served as Professor and Head and as Principal in a self-financing Engineering College. He has total experience of more than 30 years in Teaching, Research and Industry. He has organised number of International and National level conferences, seminars, etc with external funding. He has visited U.K., France, United Arab Emirates, Iran and Thailand for conferences and research programmes.
He is a studious researcher by himself, completed 2 sponsored research projects worth of Rs 20 lakhs and published more than 90 articles in journals and conferences. 2 research scholars have completed Ph. D and 3 under progress under his guidance.
To his credit he has received many awards such as Best Educationist Award-2016, Rashtriya Vidya Gaurav Gold Medal Award-2016, Elsevier Reviewer Recognition Award – 2015 and IET CLN Diamond Salute Award – 2014, etc. Currently, he is the member of Board of Studies (Civil Engineering), Anna University and reviewer for number of international journals.
He is a member of various professional societies and Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India).

He has been trained in the field of Advanced Photogrammetry and Global Positioning System at IPO & University of Hannour, Germany during 1986, deputed by Anna University.
