Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Center, Maduranthagam, is spread over 30.76 acres of land on NH-45 (GST Road) at Maduranthagam catering Medical and Allied Health Sciences Courses at one place. The institute has well – established 550 bedded multi super speciality hospital with hi-tech infrastructure, facilities and modern equipments to treat the patients. It has state of art intensive medical,surgical,cardiac,neonatal and burns care unit,an ultra model operation theatre complex, well equipped Radiology and Imaging services 24 hours pharmacy, Infertility center, Haemodialysis center, Joint and replacement wing, Accident and emergency services to cater quality service and care to the needy population.Institute is recognized by MCI for MBBS and 9 PG Courses(Anatomy,Physiology,Biochemistry,Pharmacology,Microbiology,Pathology,Community Medicine,Dermatology, OtoRhinolaryngology) and got LOP(Letter Of Permission) for Post Graduate Courses in General Medicine,General Surgery,Orthopaedics,Obstetrics and Gynaecology,Psychiatry,Ophthalmology,Anaesthesia and Radiology.

The faculties of the institution are trained regularly by MEU(Medical Education Unit) for recent development/advances in medical education through faculty development program, micro-teaching and revised basic workshop. Staff of the institution work with the sole dedication to render the society a quality health care. The highlight of our Institution is Experienced faculties and 95% of them are working since 2008 which reflects the comfortable working atmosphere in our institution.Faculties of KIMS & RC work together to join hands in producing well trained, competent medical professional who can compete globally in the expertise of patient care and research.
Apart from regular programs institute conducts short courses (Value Added and Add on Courses) for Academic,Physical,Mental and Spiritual development of the student.Our campus is 100% ragging free campus where the students are closely monitored by anti-ragging and disciplinary committee members. Hostel facilities, Indoor & Outdoor recreation facilities are hall marks of KIMS & RC matching the global standard. Students feel homely and comfortable during their stay in hostel as they enjoy facilities available in the hostel and the mess.
KIMS&RC is bestowed with Best institute award by DICE to recognize the institute role in providing quality health care and medical education in March 2018. In year 2015, Institute got Best Enterpreuners Award for outstanding contribution in Medical Education from TOI.
